Media statement by DAP Johor Chairman and MP for Kluang Liew Chin Tong on 1st March 2018
I read with great interest a statement by Umno Kempas State Assemblyman Tengku Putra Haron Aminurrashid Tengku Hamid Jumat who claimed that MCA Johor is plucking figures from the sky to claim that there is a return of Chinese support to BN.
“In Johor, MCA was the only party that didn’t submit their numbers from their groundwork to the state BN for analysis. Instead, they kept on giving positive percentages plucked from the sky without justification,” the Umno leader claimed.
He said “MCA might do better by getting off their backsides and start contributing to the preparations of the BN machinery.”
With MCA President Liow Tiong Lai claiming that the Chinese votes have returned to MCA while Tengku Putra Haron claiming otherwise, it is high time for MCA Deputy President and Johor Chairman Wee Ka Siong to comment and substantiate MCA’s assertions.
