All in all, the ultimate goal of ESG is to build resilience. In this time of disorder, this resilience is important so that we can shape, to a certain extent, the global order.
The New Era of Malaysia’s Semiconductor Industry
Semiconductor is the new oil. On the one hand, it means wealth. On the other hand, it is potentially a source of conflict, and the Madani government recognises its role in managing semiconductor diplomacy.
As pointed out by Prime Minister Anwar during the announcement of the National Semiconductor Strategy on 28 May, “I offer our nation as the most neutral and non-aligned location for semiconductor production, to help build a more secure and resilient global semiconductor supply chain.”
With the right level of commitment from both the government and industry players, Malaysia is poised to become a critical player in the global semiconductor supply chain.
