Ubah Sekarang, BERSIH-kan Malaysia fundraising dinner

Dear friends and supporters,

Greetings. Malaysia is a nation in waiting for change, with Pakatan Rakyat offering new hope. As the 13th General Election approaches, I appeal to your generosity to support the operations as well as election campaign for DAP Bukit Bendera.

Members of Parliament in Malaysia receive no funding from the government for their offices or staff. At the moment, I maintain two constituency offices – on Burma Road and in Rifle Range – and hire four full-time staff in Penang to assist me in carrying out my constituency duties. The monthly overhead cost is about RM 15,000. As the general election approaches, additional funds are needed to expand our outreach programmes in the constituency.

Our cause – to bring forth a new Malaysia – is a noble one and we sincerely appeal to you for your generous support.
