Sabah is now the frontline of a battle against an attempted coup, triggered by the Home Minister Hamzah Zainuddin under the apparent instruction of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, to destabilise Shafie’s government in order to secure power.
In conjunction with Malaysia Day, let us reflect on Malaysia’s role in the region and the international arena. Let us unite to face all external challenges and accept that our differences are our strength. We need to build a country where any wealth gap is also reduced.
The Sabah state election will not only have an impact on voters in Sabah, but it will also have a national scale impact. The people’s uprising against the ‘kataks’ will determine Malaysia’s political direction.
